Notes from a Very Small Island

On Sunday 18 August, if you are in Canberra, you will want to see a performance on Aspen Island that is part of the Canberra local project, One River – Life Giver: the event is called ‘Notes From a Very Small Island’ and features project artists John Shortis and Moya Simpson in collaboration with carillonist Lyn Fuller and a massed choir. The performance runs from 12:30 – 1:20pm. This is the last of our ten local projects that have occurred across the Murray-Darling Basin and it is fitting that this project occurs a week before the finale event, welcoming us all and what better way to do this than underneath the bells on Aspen Island.

This event is just one component of One River – Life Giver. The other is a radio show that will be launched at Gorman House in Braddon on Wed 21 August at 5:30 pm and aired on ArtSound FM, 92.7 in Canberra or 90.3 in the Tuggeranong Valley on Sun 25 August at 4:00pm.
