PS Ruby at the junction of the Murray and Darling rivers

I love this place because of its ageless environment. On a winter’s day at the junction of Australia’s two major rivers – the Murray and the Darling – the P.S. Ruby pulls alongside to take part in the triennial “Junction Rally”. On the banks, stationary steam engines chug softly; vintage cars and tractors demonstrate their stuff and camp ovens cook soup and roasts. The smells, the sounds, the ambience! Time lingers in the past.
