PS RUBY

The PS Ruby is over 100 years old. It had long been high & dry on display at Fotherby Park – adjacent to the junction of the Murray & Darling Rivers at Wentworth NSW. About ten years ago work commenced on restoring this magnificent paddle steamer to its original condition – complete with steam engine. It has been returned to the water and is moored in its own dock opposite the wharf at Wentworth. These photos show PS Ruby leaving the “slips” at Buronga NSW after a recorking and painting of its hull. Its composite hull is clearly visible.
