The Mildura Bridge

The old Mildura bridge saw service from the 1930’s until the 1990’s. Countless vehicles crossed the Murray River between Victoria and New South Wales on this bridge. Many Paddle Steamers sailed beneath the bridge and in times of high water the centre span of the bridge was raised to allow boats to pass. It has gone today – replaced by a resplendent curve of engineering practicality.
